Looking through the glass you see an abstract elk. The elk has been cut cut from natural atone then inlayed with a brown stone. The elk pieces have been cut and removed from the stone. These same pieces are then cut from the stone of contrasting color reset and glued into place. The shelf with the elk inlay interlocks with six legs cut into the shape of fir trees to form a base for the glass to rest on. The glass top is 1/2" thick with rounded edges. It is approx. 50" X 40" oval and is 20" tall. The Natural stone used for the shelf and legs is found in southern Idaho and the brown stone is native to western Montana.
